Tuition FAQ
What is Variable Tuition?
Variable Tuition is a need-based tuition assistance program similar to those used by many private schools, colleges, and universities. This program allows families to apply for reduced tuition that is right for their families' financial situation. Thus, this makes a Community Christian education affordable to many area students who could not otherwise enroll in our school.

How does Variable Tuition work?
Many factors are considered when determining the tuition amount a family is able to pay, including income, unusual expenses, and family size. Applications are submitted online and evaluated by TADS, a third-party agency. TADS evaluates the application based on criteria set by the school and makes a recommendation to the school’s finance team. The administrator will notify families of the tuition rate(s) for which they qualify.

How is CCA able to offer Variable Tuition?
Financial commitments from individual and corporate sponsors help fill in “tuition gaps” which allows us to offer Variable Tuition.

How do I apply for Variable Tuition?
All Variable Tuition applications must be submitted online to TADS. You will be asked to apply after completion of the admissions application. To apply prior to completing the admissions application, follow the instructions under the Financial Aid tab. There is a $42 fee to apply. If a family chooses to enroll, half of the fee will be credited to the first student's tuition bill.

How soon will I know our Variable Tuition rate(s)?
Once the application is completed and required documents are uploaded, please allow 2-3 weeks to receive a tuition rate letter from CCA.

Can I opt-out of the Variable Tuition Program?
We encourage every family to go through the Variable Tuition assessment process, but it is not a requirement for enrollment.

Will any families qualify for a full-tuition discount?
No, every family is required to make a financial investment in their child’s education. Our commitment to providing Variable Tuition means that we are sharing in that investment with you.

What expenses are there other than tuition?
Even with reduced tuition, families will still be responsible for paying the Enrollment and Book & Activity fee for each student.

Do I need to apply for Variable Tuition every year?
Yes. An application must be submitted every year.

Who will have access to the information I provide TADS?

While the school is given access by TADS, the financial information you provide will not be viewed by CCA.
